Dr. Amato Neto is a Full Professor and Head of the Production Engineering Department, Polytechnic School, University of São Paulo (POLI-USP), Brazil, where he coordinates a research group on Cooperation Networks and Knowledge Management (REDECOOP).



He was a visiting researcher at the Laboratorium für Werkzeugmaschinen und Betriebslehre (WZL), Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH), University of Aachen (Germany). He was a visiting professor at the International Master in Industrial Management (by the European Commission), at Politecnico di Milano (Italy). Amato Neto has a Post PhD in Economics and Management from Ca' Foscari University of Venezia (Italy).



He has presented his researches in many countries, as United States, Canada, Germany, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, Japan, Turkey, Scotland, Sweden, Mexico and Brazil, among others. His main research themes are: productive cooperation networks; networks and regional clusters; virtual organizations; small and medium enterprises (SME s); aeronautic, automotive and semiconductors industries; technological innovation; supply chain management; industrial organization; sustainability through value chains. Some of these researches are published as papers in the journals: International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management, International Journal of Automotive Technology and Management, Journal of Technology Management and Innovation, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, International Journal of Technology Marketing, Journal of Networking and Virtual Organisations, Journal of Integrated Design & Process Science and others.
